The 2005 Wolf Creek MusicFest began on June 25, 2005, with a series of outdoor concerts at Wolf Creek Park in South Fulton. Organized by Fulton County District 7 Commissioner William “Bill” Edwards and the Fulton County Arts Council, the summer event featured performances by notable artists.

The festival opened with a performance by the Blues Express Band, followed by The Temptations Revue with former lead singer Donald Edwards. The event continued throughout the summer with a lineup that included:

July 8: Atlanta Symphony Orchestra with Conductor Jere Flint

July 23: The Manhattans, Myrna Clayton, and The Experience (part of the South Fulton Arts Festival)

August 20: George Duke, Straight Ahead, and Lucas

Concert-goers were encouraged to bring chairs or blankets and picnic baskets. Refreshments were available for purchase, and each concert featured a pre-event “Party in the Park” with Commissioner Edwards and radio personality Si-Man. The festival aimed to bring the community together through music and culture, providing a memorable summer experience for all attendees.
