In June 2005, the Atlanta Hawks, in collaboration with The Home Depot, unveiled a newly refurbished basketball court at Welcome All Park.

The event, part of the Hawks Court Renovation Program, included a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by notable figures such as Atlanta Spirit VP of Community Development Laverne Henderson, The Home Depot Support Center’s Andrew Moffatt, former Hawks player Mike “Stinger” Glenn, Fulton County Commissioner William Edwards, and Hawks player Josh Smith.

The Hawks Court Renovation Program aims to enhance basketball facilities in underserved neighborhoods across Atlanta, ensuring local communities have access to quality recreational spaces. The Welcome All Park court received new pavement, backboards, rims, and fencing, along with other necessary repairs. The program continues to honor the legacy of Hawks scout Gary Wortman by promoting sports and community development.
