Advocating for Senior Services with New Fairburn Senior Center
In June 2005, Commissioner William “Bill” Edwards proudly unveiled the site for the new Fairburn Neighborhood Senior Center, marking a significant step in enhancing services for South Fulton’s senior residents. Despite the rain, Edwards and local officials celebrated the launch of this 10,000-square-foot facility, set to open in mid-2006. With an investment of approximately $2 million, the center offered vital nutrition and support services, ensuring a high quality of life for seniors.
