June 2006. Commissioner William “Bill” Edwards proudly celebrated the opening of Fulton County’s first senior housing development, Providence Glen Senior Residential Development. This landmark project, inaugurated with a ceremony on May 31, provided affordable, cottage-style homes for low-income seniors, reflecting Edwards’ unwavering commitment to community well-being and support for vulnerable populations. Secured through a $400,000 HUD grant, this development stands as a testament to Edwards’ successful advocacy and dedication to enhancing the quality of life for South Fulton’s senior residents.
