Enhancing Recreational Spaces with Wilkerson Mill Park Playground Dedication
Commissioner William “Bill” Edwards continued to advance recreational opportunities in South Fulton with the dedication of a new playground at Wilkerson Mill Park. This exciting development, funded by a generous $10,000 grant from Safeco Insurance, was celebrated on June 24, 2005, alongside representatives from the Fulton Parks Foundation and Safeco Insurance. The 30-acre Wilkerson Mill Park, already home to extensive amenities including lighted sports fields and picnic areas, was able to boast an additional play area for children.
