Commissioner William “Bill” Edwards proudly joined community members and officials in celebrating the completion of the final phase of the South Fulton Parkway. The monumental project, spanning 20 miles and connecting key industrial areas to the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, represented a significant milestone in South Fulton’s infrastructure development. Edwards’ leadership and commitment to enhancing connectivity and fostering growth was instrumental in bringing the project to fruition. The final segment, named in honor of local activist Bill Melear, underscored the community’s dedication to recognizing those who have contributed to its progress.
